i'm free

i'm free
or so it seems
i no longer think
of that stupid scene
yet i awoke this morning
to a different ring
one of stupid imagination
like i was there, it was as if
the fateful scene replaying
but you were not the one i was kissing
i didn't think it possible
such washing down the sink
i think of you from time to time
but i'm slowly recovering
whereas this it all
it's perhaps amazing
how it never looked possible
or so my brain makes it to be
yet within this loveless soul that's me
apprehension and fear
with such debilitating things teeming
